What I'm doing. Where I've been. What I saw. And why I shot it.

my (recent) checkered past

A few peeks at this Pinterest board celebrating gingham, by fiber artist/stylist/designer Mary Jane Mucklestone, and I caught the textile virus. Next thing I know, I'm shooting this job in Washington DC.......
I was supposed to be photographing the kindergarten field trip to the Capitol.
All I saw was the gingham.

You can see more of my educational work (but not  more gingham) in my corporate/ institutional portfolio, over on my website.

  1. It's a catching thing! What clever gingham kerchiefs! I love the plastic windows with identification!

  2. I know! I kind of want to make a gingham neckerchief for myself. All the kiddos looked oddly stylish wearing them. For the record, the teacher who made them said they are seersucker gingham. Extra snaps for that--I love seersucker too.

  3. I wonder if I could persuade my college students to wear gingham neckerchiefs when I take them on outings? I would totally wear one!
